Advisor Checklist



  • Make the reservation
    • Check your calendar for the week which you can attend
    • Submit the reservation form and deposit
    • Collect money from students
  • Update projected number of campers 45 days prior to your camp week
  • At least two weeks before arrival:
    • Obtain commitments from campers to determine actual number
    • Secure chaperones for cabins
    • Secure transportation (make sure to figure for traffic!)
    • Make all copies of forms, materials needed for class, etc.
    • Check to see if any camper has special needs (medications, disabilities, etc.)
    • Distribute to your campers:
      • Event Schedule
      • Emergency contact numbers
      • Personal Supply List (What to bring)
      • Parental Consent forms/ Medical Release forms
      • Directions to facility
      • Facility Map
      • Camp Policies
      • Student Code of Conduct Sheets
  • Five days before arrival:
    • Inform camp of actual number of students, chaperones and advisors attending camp
  • Day of Arrival:
    • Collect release forms, permission slips, and student code of conduct sheets from students
    • Collect any remaining money
  • Upon Arrival
    • Make payment
    • Turn in all forms
    • Inform camp of any changes in final numbers and receive cabin assignment
    • Sign up for activities (turn in activity sheet) and receive instructions for the week
  • Upon Departure:
  • Sweep and mop floors
  • Take all trash to outside cans
  • Turn out all lights
