Re: New Scholarship Program for Camp
I am very pleased to inform you about an exciting opportunity for a Tennessee FFA member to attend FFA Camp. Brenda and Dale Bray have been involved with Camp Clements for several years. They have seen first hand how the leadership program at Camp Clements has made a positive difference in the lives of many students over the years.
Because of their love of youth and Camp Clements, they provided the financial funding to establish the Bray Leadership Fund that provides five (5) two-hundred dollar ($200) scholarships for five Tennessee FFA members to attend Camp Clements each year. The Bray Leadership Fund Scholarship Program will be open to Tennessee FFA members from a rural area that has a financial need that would prevent them from attending camp.
The Bray Leadership Fund Scholarship will cover the camp registration fee, cost of a camp T-shirt, and camp picture. The balance of the scholarship can be used for the purchase of any camp clothes (i.e. swimsuit), travel, snacks and other camp supplies or expenses.
Please complete the application and return it to me at the
State FFA Office by May 1. Please complete the application for members
that you know truly have a financial need from a rural area. A chapter
can summit up to two applications.
Brenda and Dale are very excited about the development of this program
to help our members. The only additional request is to be introduced
to the winners upon arrival to camp. We are blessed to have Brenda and
Dale Bray as part of the FFA Family. If you would like to contribute
to the Bray Leadership Fund, please send your contributions to the Tennessee
FFA Foundation.
