| My SAE is Equine Science Placement. I help my father raise quality Quarter Horses on our 100 acre farm. I help in the everyday aspects that are essential in running a quality program. Some of those aspects are: training, grooming, administering medication, and feeding. | |||||
| Favorite CDE: | |||||
| I actually have two favorites. I enjoy Parliamentary Procedure and Forestry. I enjoy parliamentary procedure, because it enables you to learn how to effectively manage a meeting and work with a team. I enjoy forestry because it enables you to learn the practices that are performed in one of Tennessee’s largest industries. | |||||
| How You Got Involved In The FFA: | |||||
| I have always had an interest in Agriculture, so when the opportunity came that I could take agriculture classes; I enrolled as soon as I heard. As I began to learn more and more about the FFA, I began to get more active in the FFA. I began to participate in many different CDE’s, leadership conferences, and conventions. | |||||
| Most Influential Role Model: | |||||
| My role model has always been my grandfather. I spent much time with him when he was still alive, and I began to admire how great of a man he was. He has left many great impressions on me, and I have tried to model my life after him. | |||||
| Most Memorable Moment in FFA: | |||||
| My most memorable moment was my last two events in the FFA. We had placed first in both of those events, forestry and floriculture, and I was able to place in the top 3 high scoring individuals in those events. | |||||
| Future Plans: | |||||
| I am going to continue my education at the University of Tennessee at Martin in Agricultural Education as a sophomore. After college, I hope to obtain a job as a High School agriculture teacher and an FFA advisor. | |||||
| Message To The Greenhand Members: | |||||
| There are so many opportunities that are available through the FFA. You may have bad times, you will definitely have great times, but always remember that the FFA is one of the most important things that you will be involved with throughout your lifetime. | |||||
| If You Could Travel Anywhere In The World: | |||||
| I have always had an interest in History. England is one of the most historical nations in the world. If I had the opportunity I would like to travel to England and be able to see all of the historical sites that you always read about in your textbooks. | |||||
