| Home Chapter: | Dyersburg FFA Chapter in Dyersburg, TN | ||||
| SAE: | |||||
| I raise and show Market Lambs and Romney Sheep. | |||||
| Favorite CDE: | |||||
| I really enjoy all of the CDE’s I participate in. If I had to choose one though it would definitely have to be Parliamentary Procedure. I competed in Parli my sophomore year and fell in love with it immediately. It taught me a lot about team work, self-confidence and perseverance. That year we won the State contest and made it into the second round at National Convention. | |||||
| How You Got Involved In The FFA: | |||||
| I first got involved in the FFA my sixth grade year. My brother had just started high school and was doing different things through the FFA that I could participate in such as showing sheep. After I was familiar with my future chapter I was very comfortable, as a Greenhand member, when I signed up for all of the different CDE events. | |||||
| Most Influential Role Model: | |||||
| My role model would have to be my dad. In the fall every livestock person knows it is show time. Through the past six years that I have shown sheep, my dad has always been there to teach me responsibility and to also help me out in any way he could. He is always there to drive me to all of the shows, even as far as Louisville, KY. He has made so many sacrifices for me just so I can keep doing what I love. | |||||
| Future Plans: | |||||
| My future plans are to attend the University of Tennessee at Martin. I plan on majoring in Ag Education and hopefully teach at my home chapter of Dyersburg one day. | |||||
| Message To The Greenhand Members: | |||||
| The message I have for all upcoming and current Greenhand members is to participate in everything you can. I am not only talking about in the FFA but in school activities as well. I have regretted not doing many school activities and segregating myself from my life long friends. Again, live life to the fullest and don’t regret any bad decision as long as you learn from it. | |||||
| If You Could Travel Anywhere In The World: | |||||
| If I could travel anywhere in the world I would probably go to New Zealand. Since I am a huge sheep buff, I would love to see the sheep operations there. I would also love to see the landscapes there and visit all of the hot spots. | |||||
