Tennessee FFA Association - State Officers - Middle TN Vice-President

President

Name:   Chelsea Doss
Home Chapter:   Eagleville
SAE:
Specialty Animal Care and Production. I raise and market Irish Setter dogs with my family in rural Christiana, TN.
FFA Activities:
I have participated in Ceremonies, Livestock Judging, Soil Judging, Parliamentary Procedure, Dairy Judging, Poultry Judging, Land Measurement, and Job Interview. However, my two favorite contests are Parliamentary Procedure and Soil Judging which are just a couple of the many contests that my advisor has inspired me to participate
in.
Plans for the Future:
I plan to attend Tennessee Tech in Cookeville in the fall and major in agricultural  education. Once I have graduated college I hope to become an agriculture educator  and stay involved in the FFA.
Most Memorable Moment:
Winning the State Job Interview Contest and becoming a State FFA Officer at the 79th convention was so exciting.  It was  a moment that I was happy to share with everyone at convention and celebrate with my chapter. It was a memory I will cherish and never forget.
Interests:
Agriculture, government, basketball, attending church, and spending time with friends
and family.
Family:
My parents are Jeff and Beth, Katlyn is my younger sister who is a junior at Eagleville
High School and active in the FFA, and Kinsey is my older sister who is a Freshman
at MTSU and she is also active in the FFA. We live outside of Murfreesboro, TN in
Christiana.
Favorite Quote:
" Failing to prepare is preparing to fail."
My Greatest Role Model:
My greatest role model in the FFA is my advisor Bruce Haley. When I started high
school I was very quiet and not the type of person who had aspirations of being
a leader. Throughout school my advisor trained me and helped me to become a better
speaker, and more importantly, an effective leader. By watching my advisor over
the past four years, he has inspired me to choose a career in education. I hope that
by teaching agriculture I may inspire even just one student to acheive great things
just as Mr. Haley has inspired me.
