Tennessee FFA Association - State Officers - East TN Vice-President

Reporter

Name:   Lauren Rogers
Home Chapter:   Brighton
SAE:
My SAE was Diversified Agriculture Production. It involved our dairy beef cattle, my market lamb, and green house work at school.
Favorite CDE:
My most favorite CDE is Dairy judging. My dad was raised on a dairy farm, so I have always been learning about dairy cattle. My second favorite is Job Interview, which I won second in State with.
How You Got Involved In The FFA:
I was so excited to get to high school so I could be in FFA. My first ag class was Fundamentals of Ag and my first CDE was Ceremonies.
Most Influential Role Model:
A past Brighton chapter president, Jennie, inspired me. She is so outgoing and always made everyone feel included. With an exciting personality, Jennie never let things get boring.
Future Plans:
I plan to attend the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and major in Plant Biotechnology. I hope to get my masters in this field and then work for the Monsanto Seed Co.
Message to Greenhand members:
Do as many activities you can, not only in FFA, but throughout school and life. You should be a well rounded person, but do what you love the most. Watch out for doing too much, though. Be sure you can handle everything you are doing.
If You Could Travel Anywhere In The World:
I have had the opportunity to travel to Italy and see several major cities there. If I could go anywhere, I would go back to Italy. I also really would like to see the Great Pyramids of Egypt, London, Ireland, and Greece. I love historical places and love learning about them.
