HOW TO JOIN TENNESSEE FFA!!!
The FFA is an integral part of the Agricultural Education program in Tennessee. To join the FFA you must be enrolled in an Ag Science Education course in your local high school. Contact your school's counselor or Ag Ed instructor to enroll in Agricultural Education and join the FFA. FFA is not a "club." It is one of three integral components of an agricultural education program: classroom instruction, supervised agricultural experience and development of life skills. Students between the ages of 12 and 21 who are enrolled in a systematic course of instruction in agricultural education are eligible for membership. Your local school system must offer agricultural instruction and have an active FFA chapter for you to join. If your school does not have an ag education program, take steps to open a program in your school. In order to accomplish this task, we strongly recommend that you contact the staff of the Tennessee Association FFA (www.tnffa.org/association/contact.php) to express your interest and ask for assistance on regulations, requirements and resources for planning a new program. The agricultural educators at UTK, MTSU, Tennessee Tech and UT at Martin can also be helpful. Membership dues for the Tennessee Association FFA are $5.00 each year plus West Tennessee members pay an additional $1.00 to support their regional programs. Dues for the National FFA Organization are an additional $5 each year. Of this total cost, $2 goes to the publication and distribution of FFA New Horizons, the official FFA member magazine. An annual subscription to New Horizons is included in your membership fee. For further information, please contact this website:
