Others supporting the work of the Sponsoring Committee include former state Agriculture Commissioner and businessman John Rose of Hickman and Jerry Brase, past chairman of the National FFA Sponsors Board and Senior Vice President of Tractor Supply Company, Nashville.

The Sponsoring Committee members pledged their commitment to help meet the goals of the FFA Foundation. The committee's work over the next few weeks will focus on setting fundraising goals, developing a campaign strategy and establishing an endowment for the FFA.

The Tennessee FFA Foundation is a non-profit organization established to help support the high school and collegiate youth program that provides personal development opportunities and prepares young men and women for careers in agricultural-related fields. Currently, there are about 29,000 students in agriculture education in Tennessee.
