STARTING AN ALUMNI AFFILIATE
 
   
Steps for Starting an Alumni Affiliate  
  Starting an Affiliate:
1. If you meet the Requirements then proceed with item #2.
2. Prepare a Constitution.
3. Prepare a Bylaws.
4. Fill out Application.
5. Fill in Roster completely with e-mail addresses.
6. Prepare a check for the total amount of state and national dues.

Submit these to the Tennessee FFA Alumni:
Tennessee FFA Foundation
         or
         Tim Chowning, Treasurer
Box 5034, TN Tech University
                   P.O. Box 720
Cookeville, TN  38505
                   White House, TN  37188-0720

 
Steps for Re-activating an Affiliate  
  To reactivate an Alumni affiliate:
1. Fill out Application
2. Elect officers
3. Update your Constitution/Bylaws(if inactive for over two years)
4. Fill in Roster completely with e-mail addresses
6. Prepare a check for the total amount of state and national dues.

Submit these to the Tennessee FFA Alumni:

Tax Exempt Information  
  Obtaining tax exempt status for your affiliate:
1. Obtaining tax exempt status for your local affiliate - Tax Exempt Overview.
2. National FFA Group Exemption - Group Exemption Information.
3. Once officially chartered, please return - Tax Exempt Return Form.
4. Instructions for obtaining your state tax exemption - State Tax Exempt Information.
5. Instructions for filing - Tax Form 990.
6. Instructions for filing - Tax form 990-n.
